LIS 724 Database Tutorial Reflection

As always, these hands-on projects are something new for me. Tech is something I have always been intimidated by, and I still am, but having the hands-on practice is helping me with getting more comfortable and hopefully someday confident. This assignment in particular is ironic for me because things such as tutorials are something I usually am in need of, and I never really thought that maybe I would be creating one. I am usually on the receiving end of how-tos and tutorials. I still enjoyed this assignment not only because it was new and allowed me that hands-on practice, but because the process required me to get comfortable with public speaking to a general audience and made me think about my approachability. When you’re creating instruction you have to consider- can anyone follow along with what I am saying? Am I understandable- not just in my tone but is the kind of language I am using something most people can comprehend? Is it simple enough? This assignment overall made me think about the ways in which we can be as most helpful as possible.
