Equipment Investigation Reflection

I genuinely thought the Equipment Investigation was a helpful and productive experience. Using Google slides for this project allowed my group members and I to easily access the project and add our parts. We were able to work together on the slides when possible at a distance from our homes, but it was not obligatory to be on Google slides at the same time as we were also able to work separately. We communicated with each other through gmail as well, checking in on each other throughout the week. Compared to past collaborative experiences, this is one of my favorites. This is one of my favorites firstly because my group members are as dedicated as I am and are easy to work with. We were able to share and divide up the work with no contesting of any kind. We all had great ideas and everything we thought about connected. We enjoyed thinking of ways to promote the maker space, the policies for use, etc. My group members are definitely “team players”. Secondly, I like that this is basically a second piece of a bigger project. We began by collaborating on the Maker space Inventory. The Maker space Inventory was the first part of this project. The Equipment Investigation being the second part of the project made the overall project more meaningful. Using Google slides was the best possible tool for this project. After using Google slides, I can not see myself using another presentation software like Powerpoint. Google slides is just so much more simple to use and more aesthetically pleasing. I have yet to use Keynote, so I can not say I will refrain from trying it. I am also interested in other presentation software such as Canva and Panopto. Nonetheless, it is undeniable that Google slides is an excellent choice especially for any collaborative work.
