Book Trailer(s) for LIS 724
Video editing is something I always wish I could have been taught in school. I feel that this is a very basic skill that tends to be used across a variety of fields. Assignments like these are always a bit intimidating for me because I feel that I am not a genius at video editing. It is definitely something that does not come natural. However, assignments such as this one allow us as students to get the hands-on practice that we will likely need in the future. This was my first time working with Animoto. It took me a little while to figure it out, but I think it is user-friendly and more importantly it is friendly to the novice video editor. I did not pay for the subscription, so the basic subscription has some limitations and the Animoto watermark remains on the video. Next, I decided to create a slideshow with the photos and add music. I then screen-recorded the presentation on my Mac. After that, I uploaded the video onto Youtube. This process wasn’t as “fancy” as using Animoto or any other higher end apps, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, I enjoyed the experience because I have a lot of love for the book I chose.
